Baldur’s Gate 3 dominates The Game Awards by winning the GOTY and five other awards

The conclusion of The Game Awards 2023 declared the absolute triumph of Baldur’s Gate 3, clinching the coveted Game of the Year title along with five other accolades.

Confirmations and surprises. Victors and vanquished. The Game Awards 2023 have recently concluded with the absolute success of Baldur’s Gate 3, securing a total of 6 prizes, including the highly anticipated title of Game of the Year.

An unprecedented success for Larian Studios, reaffirming the extraordinary work put into a title of this caliber. The ceremony also highlighted the excellent reception from both the audience and critics for Alan Wake 2 by Remedy Entertainment and Epic Games Publishing, which took home 3 awards. However, it also marked the empty-handed return for Insomniac Games with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, despite its 7 nominations.

A similar fate awaited Starfield, the new IP from Bethesda Game Studios, which, featured in only one category, “Best RPG”, left empty-handed in the face of competition with Baldur’s Gate 3.
