Survive the Vampire Apocalypse!

#BLUD

It’s been quite a while since we first introduced you to #BLUD, the stunningly stylish and hyper-zany animated dungeon crawler with a 90s cartoon flair developed by Exit 73 Studios, an incredibly talented New York-based animation company specializing in 2D traditional frame-by-frame animation with over 15 years of experience in the industry.

In case you missed it, before we delve into the details, make sure to check out our main coverage of the game, where you’ll find all the essential details about #BLUD and the creative minds behind it.

Following the announcement in May 2023 during the Humble Games Showcase, where Humble Games officially revealed agreements to publish nine video games developed by some prominent independent studios, including the creators of #BLUD and SquidShock Studios, developers of Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus, during the IGN Fan Fest 2024, Humble Games and Exit 73 Studios have finally unveiled that the game will be released on June 18th on Nintendo Switch, PC (Via Steam), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The story will follow the adventures of the young and lively teenager Becky Brewster, a girl grappling with the struggles of everyday life: raging hormones, the need to make new friends, bullies to avoid, boring teachers, and managing her popularity on social media. That is until a dreadful vampire apocalypse wreaks havoc on the charming town of Carpentersville, finally freeing Becky from her dull and apathetic routine. With the city in a state of panic and vampires roaming the streets freely terrifying pedestrians and feasting on whoever they please, who can rid this small town of this terrible and horrendous burden? And who better than Becky?

The announcement of the release date came alongside a trailer, allowing us to take a closer look at the town of Carpentersville and the rogue-like mechanics that will make up the title, as well as providing some additional details about the story.
