A new saga is about to begin in 10th-century Iceland.

Senua's Saga: Hellblade II

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II has finally received an official release date.

During the Xbox Developer Direct 2024, Microsoft officially kicked off the year with an event filled with exciting announcements for PC and Xbox Series X/S. Among these are the new IP from Bethesda dedicated to the Indiana Jones franchise, titled “Indiana Jones and The Great Circle,” an intriguing overview of Avowed, the new fantasy RPG from Obsidian, and many exciting updates for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, the highly anticipated sequel in the Senua saga developed by Ninja Theory and published by Xbox Game Studios.

So, without further ado, when will the new title from Ninja Theory find its way? Hellblade II is set to release in spring 2024, on May 21, 2024, as a Microsoft exclusive IP. It will be available on PC and Xbox Series X/S, and available at launch on Game Pass. As clarified later by Microsoft, the game will not receive any physical edition but will be sold exclusively in digital format at a price of $49.99.

“We’re now in the final months of development on Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, and the team is working hard to bring you an unforgettable journey,” these are the words from Ninja Theory head, Dom Matthews, opening the brief behind-the-scenes showcase. The video, featuring numerous studio members and the lead actress, Melina Juergens, reveals new details about the setting, 10th-century Iceland, Senua’s allies, and the new looming dangers she will face in this new journey.
