Grave Mistakes Revealed: A Co-Op Horror Comedy About Funeral Homes and a Dark Family Secret

In short

Happy Volcano and Oro Interactive have announced Grave Mistakes, a 2-4 player horror-comedy co-op where you run the Good Mourning™ Funeral Home: between funerals, eulogies and physics-based bodies, you must steal body parts from clients to feed the monster grandma CEO without getting caught. Coming to Steam (PC) in November 2026, the game mixes simulation, physical chaos and dark humor, with proximity chat, upgrades and a narrative mystery about the family.

Coffins to polish, limbs to pilfer, and Grandma to feed: Grave Mistakes turns funeral duties into a macabre co-op comedy coming to PC this November.

Grave Mistakes | Reveal Trailer (Directors Cut)

In Grave Mistakes you run and oversee the funeral home Good Mourning™ Funeral Home, a family business run for generations, in co-op for 2 to 4 players.

A Family Business… With a Very Dark Side

In Grave Mistakes, the developers at Happy Volcano and publisher Oro Interactive put us in charge of the Good Mourning™ Funeral Home, the local funeral home run by the same family for generations: flowers, eulogies and the occasional coffin incident nobody talks about.

Nobody except grandma: still the CEO, she has been living in the basement ever since she struck a deal to save the business from bankruptcy, a deal that turned her into the monster she is today.

Each day brings a specific request for body parts, and it falls to you to fulfill it. In online co-op for up to 4 players, the job is to welcome grieving families, prepare the deceased for the ceremony, deliver passionate eulogies and even play the organ. The problem is that grandma’s dinner has to come from somewhere: so, between one funeral and the next, you will have to pilfer limbs from clients and replace them with similar objects, an arm with a shovel, a leg with a skateboard, a head with a basketball with a photo stuck on it, without raising anyone’s suspicions.

All of it with physics-based bodies that start decomposing as soon as they arrive, making every manipulation trickier (and more hilarious) than it looks.

A Business Growing as Fast as Grandma’s Appetite

The funeral home’s reputation is spreading: more families arrive every day, and more bodies mean more money and better upgrades for the business, but also more simultaneous funerals, more chances to get caught, and an ever hungrier grandma. When the day ends, everyone gathers in the basement for the family dinner, and grandma consumes what you have gathered for her: if the order wasn’t followed, someone ends up on the menu.

Among the standout features are proximity chat, for whispering to each other, in a panic, about where a client’s leg ended up, and a narrative mystery to unravel behind the scenes of the family. Happy Volcano, already known for You Suck at Parking and The Almost Gone, confirms its penchant for experimentation, while Oro Interactive proves itself once again as a publisher specialized in bizarre, memorable games.

A Growing Business With a Deadly Appetite

Grave Mistakes promises to be one of the most original co-op titles of late 2026: a mix of simulation, physical chaos and dark humor perfect for evenings with friends. If the idea intrigues you, add the game to your wishlist on Steam and sign up for the playtest: grandma is waiting for you at dinner.
