You Did It, Basti!

Lone Fungus: Melody of Spores

The days leading up to this much-anticipated moment were filled with challenges, intensity, and, in many ways, a palpable sense of anticipation. Yet, in the end, all of Basti’s hard work has been fully rewarded. Lone Fungus: Melody of Spores, the Swedish developer’s second creation and a true prequel to his debut game, has not only met its full funding goal but, just moments ago, successfully concluded its campaign.

This success has been eagerly awaited—not just by the creator, but by all those who appreciated his first game and supported him, despite its setbacks, during his previous campaign. Today, however, there is no room for past struggles or disappointments, only the sweet taste of triumph. Thanks to this success, the developer can now finally invest the necessary resources into his upcoming Mushroomvania.

In his Kickstarter update on November 15, Basti expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported his project—and his dreams—highlighting the importance of every contribution, big or small:

“We’ve officially hit the goal! Thanks so much, everyone! I announced two stretch goals in my previous post, and I’ll be adding those to the Kickstarter story page!”

At this stage, it’s time to assess the results of the crowdfunding campaign. As previously mentioned, the campaign successfully reached its goal, raising 250,000 Swedish kronor (approximately $22,926 USD) with the support of 971 backers.

Looking ahead, Basti’s next priority will be to finalize the upcoming beta, which will be made available exclusively to campaign backers. Once this phase is completed, all efforts will then be focused on the full development of the game.

Unfortunately, Lone Fungus: Melody of Spores currently does not have a confirmed release date. The game has been announced for PC via Steam.
