Only 2 days left until the end of the crowdfunding campaign!
We are approaching the final stretch of the Kickstarter campaign for Layers Deep, the captivating 2D Metroidvania developed by Tall Order Games, led by the talented duo of independent developers Josh Chambers and Eric Kalpin (you can find our main coverage at the following link).
The campaign has been an outstanding success for these young developers, surpassing its funding goal of $30,000 USD (approximately €28,027) in just 13 days. These impressive numbers demonstrate the overwhelming support and trust that the community has placed in the team.
Since then, the campaign has made significant strides forward and reached new milestones that haven’t gone unnoticed by the developers. Now, with just over 2 days left in the crowdfunding campaign, Josh and Eric have decided to reward their backers with a special treat—a new gameplay trailer that delves deeper into the whimsical and satirical autumnal world of Old Antrum.
Here’s a brief excerpt from Josh’s statement: “I can’t believe it, but we’re finally in the home stretch of the campaign. What an exhilarating journey it has been, and it feels like it’s only just beginning. Surpassing 1000 backers is incredible! It’s as if multiple auditoriums full of people are eagerly embracing their inner onion. Simply amazing!”
However, as the developers emphasize, there is another goal that Josh and Eric hope to achieve before the conclusion of the crowdfunding campaign, which is also a pivotal aspect of the project: unlocking the complete OST composed by The Blasting Company, the band renowned for the acclaimed soundtrack of Over the Garden Wall (a key inspiration for the game).
The developers are close to achieving this goal, needing just under $500 AUD more to make it happen. Therefore, if you’re passionate about the game and eager to experience it as envisioned by the developers—with the soundtrack by The Blasting Company—we encourage you to support the Kickstarter campaign. Hurry, though—there are only 2 days left!
