Selecta Play reveals the release of Blasphemous 2 Collector’s Edition with a trailer. Let’s see what this edition contains.
Global publisher and distributor Selecta Play revealed the contents of the highly anticipated physical Blasphemous 2 Collector’s Edition. The edition will be released in Europe and North American specialty retailers on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 in early 2024. Developed by The Game Kitchen and published by Team17, Blasphemous 2 is a side-scrolling metroidvania originally released on August 24, 2023 to great critical success.
In continuity with the first title and the DLC releases, we once again take on the role of the Penitent One. The story continues from the free Wounds of Eventide DLC for the original game, where The Heart in the Sky heralded the return of the Miracle and predicted the birth of a new miracle child.
Our protagonist, the Penitent One, has awakened again and must go through the cycle of death and resurrection again until he achieves his goal.
Blasphemous 2, the sequel to its namesake released in 2019, stands out for its strong and provocative themes. The extreme religious themes where we encounter grotesque and frightening enemies.
Iconic boss fights featuring twisted, gigantic enemies with unique attack patterns as we explore a decadent, interconnected world.
Each area contains numerous NPCs who will give us quests, gradually revealing the lore of this world. Also worth mentioning is the combat system, with which we can choose between three weapons to upgrade during the game.

Collector’s Edition Contents
Selecta Play is responsible for the design and creation, as well as the publishing and distribution in Europe and North America of the boxed Collector’s Edition of Blasphemous 2 and has collaborated with both The Game Kitchen and Team17 to create an incredible physical version to collect for the fans.
In addition to the physical version of Blasphemous 2 on console, the Collector’s Edition will include a Steelbook case with exclusive artwork, a printed instruction manual created by the developers along with a thank you letter from The Game Kitchen team.
A Marca del Martirio metallic coin, three art cards with new illustrations, two CDs of music composed by Carlos Viola along with a collector’s CD cover with the code to download the digital soundtrack.
A printed game guide with over 60 pages of lore, a beautiful album of illustrations, and a certificate of authenticity. All packaged in a specially created collector’s box with a premium finish.
