Subcult Joint’s brutal and emotional Techno-Pop-Punk Post-Kawaii Metroidvania is closer than ever to reaching Nintendo Switch Players.
Let’s return, albeit briefly, to Cookie Cutter, the debut title from the studio Subcult Joint and published by Rogue Games, available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S from December 14, 2023.
In recent days, Stefano Guglielmana, the game’s Director, Lead Artist, and social media manager—whom we interviewed exclusively just before the release—shared exciting new developments, including the much-anticipated Nintendo Switch port, which now seems to be just around the corner. According to the official Cookie Cutter Facebook page, the porting process is nearing completion, enabling Nintendo Switch players to soon embark on Cherry’s furious, blood-soaked love odyssey.
Furthermore, as announced, the game—currently available in ten languages (English, Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, and Italian) for both interface and subtitles—will soon introduce two new options: Ukrainian and Turkish, increasing the total to twelve languages.
The extensive and dedicated work by Subcult Joint and Rogue Games on voice acting is also progressing, with plans to fully localize the game in English. However, the timeline for when this will be implemented is still yet to be revealed.
As we await the arrival of the new patch and look forward to what Subcult Joint has in store for the future of Cookie Cutter—be it a DLC or a direct sequel that delves deeper into the revelations of the end game—be sure to stay tuned and follow the game’s account on X for the latest news and updates.
Cookie Cutter is available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. You can find our review of Subcult Joint’s debut title here.
That’s all for today. Until next time!
