A fluctuating event at the Summer Game Fest for Sony and Playstation, between very high peaks and subdued moments.
Sony’s event at the Summer Game Fest, while offering interesting announcements, once again showed the difficulties that PlayStation is facing in this generation. The strong identity that made the brand a point of reference is missing: no disruptive exclusives, little focus on the single player experience that defined the golden era of Playstation 3 and 4.
Despite this, there are signs of change compared to the mistakes of the previous administration. The path towards relaunch is long, but something is moving. So, what awaits us in 2025 and 2026 on PS5?

The new title by Suda51. It presents itself as a crazy action in which the resurrected character must defeat creatures of all kinds in a crazy world and with ironic characters in the style of Shadow of the Damned.

Silent Hill F
The return of Silent Hill continues with this new spin-off chapter, with scarier and more anxiety-provoking atmospheres. The presence of a very young protagonist makes the experience even more complex and anxiety-inducing given the protagonist’s poor defense skills.
Bloodstained: The Scarlett Engagement
The return of Bloodstained with a new, even more distinctive chapter and with new enemies to discover.
DIGIMON: Time Strangers
A new title in the world of Digimon, where a clash between the digital and real worlds is coming. The title is arriving on October 3rd.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles
The return of Final Fantasy Tactics in a renewed guise and with improved gameplay.
Baby Steps
A one-of-a-kind open world experience, where the main objective is to try to make the character walk correctly through each territory, positioning his feet correctly.
Hirogami
An interesting action platformer with a particular focus on transformation and adaptation to the characteristics of the surrounding environment and enemies.
Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots
The return of the historic golf title, with new courses, unlockable characters and new challenges for all golf enthusiasts.
Ninja Gaiden: Rage bound
Ninja Gaiden returns in its original form, as a 2D action platformer. A complex title with an original story and a soundtrack inspired by the classic chapters.
Cairn
An intense climb awaits the player in this new survival dedicated to the world of climbing. The player will have to face the most arduous challenges that the enormous mountain hides.
MORTAL KOMBAT: Legacy Collection
The collection of the first Mortal Kombat arcade games has been remastered for Sony consoles. We expect the arrival of the game controller dedicated to fighting games, inspired by the arcade classics, Project Defiant.
Metal Gear Solid DELTA
A new gameplay trailer to show the imminent release of the remake of the excellent Metal Gear Solid 3. One of the most beloved games in the series is returning and success seems assured.
NIOH 3
The third chapter of Team Ninja‘s iconic action souls saga. Improved graphics and an even more fluid combat system give life to an extremely powerful new chapter.

An original pirate RPG with a unique style and a unique atmosphere. A title absolutely worth keeping an eye on.
Sword Of The Sea
The new title from the creators of Abzú and Journey. A title that blends surfing with the exploration of huge deserts, seas and interesting environments, in a unique journey.
007 First Light
The highlight of the entire event is the new title dedicated to 007. A story dedicated to the origins of Fleming’s iconic character.
IO Interactive is returning with a title with infinite potential and with an enormous responsibility, relaunching the series after the end of the saga starring Daniel Craig.

MARVEL TŌKON: Fighting Souls
The new anime-style Marvel fighting game. A title that brings Marvel characters into intense 1v1 or 4-man tag team battles.

The event ends here, with interesting titles but some serious shortcomings for Playstation, hoping for a better 2026 for Sony.
