As revealed by Jyamma Games CEO, Giacomo Greco, the new release date for Enotria: The Last Song will be unveiled on March 21st during the Future Game Show.
Exactly 9 days ago, during “The Streamer Awards,” the Italian Milan-based game studio Jyamma Games unveiled, with a dedicated trailer, the release date for Enotria: The Last Song, the upcoming Souls-like inspired by Italian folklore (you can find our main coverage on Enotria here), set for June 21st, 2024, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Everything was going according to plan, and the Italian company’s roadmap was nearly complete and defined.
That was until 4 days ago when FromSoftware finally decided to unveil, in an extensive gameplay reveal, the release date of Shadow of the Erdtree, the highly anticipated new DLC expansion of Elden Ring, the monumental work by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin (if you missed it, you can catch up on our review of FromSoftware’s latest masterpiece here).
A fortuitous and unfortunate coincidence that, even after days of requests from project supporters fearing it might get engulfed by the Shadow of the Erdtree storm, convinced developers to postpone the release date of Enotria: The Last Song, as revealed by Jyamma Games CEO, Giacomo Greco, on the game’s official Discord channel:
“Dear Maskless Ones
I wanted to thank all the gamers and content creators who supported us during the launch of our latest trailer.
We are perfectly aware that release on the same day as Elden Ring for us, as for any other game, would be suicidal.
For this reason, we were ready immediately to be able to take different paths and possibly postpone the game.
On the 21st of March, during the Future Game Show, we will release our gameplay trailer, and on that occasion we will also let you know the new release date of our title.
We will also have another big news to communicate to you on 21st of March, so we ask you to be patient and to continue to follow and support us.
Thank you very much everyone.
Greco Giacomo CEO of Jyamma Games”
A thoughtful yet undoubtedly wise decision by the development team, which we believe will afford Enotria the opportunity to garner all the recognition and visibility it deserves—something that surely would not have been possible if it were to launch in close proximity, or even on the same day, as Shadow of the Erdtree.
The appointment is thus postponed until March 21st at the Future Game Show, the day when we will discover the new launch date of Enotria: The Last Song and delve deeper, with the release of the gameplay trailer, into all the enhancements and improvements brought by Jyamma Games to the title.
Thank you for joining us today. Until next time!
