The Mea Culpa is Reborn – And So I Fear… That My Penance Is Far From Over.
We’ve often talked about Blasphemous II (and here you can find a handy guide on how to unlock all trophies, to help you get that platinum!), and finally, a major announcement has arrived for October 31st: The Game Kitchen and Team17 Digital have revealed the launch of the paid expansion “Mea Culpa” and the free update “True Torment”, both set to bring new and exciting challenges to the world of Cvstodia. We couldn’t think of a better night for it!
Hello, Penitents!
The “Mea Culpa” expansion introduces:
- New Zones: Explore two massive areas with hostile weather conditions and towering heights to ascend.
- New Bosses: Face epic challenges that will test even the most seasoned players.
- New Quests: Reforge the legendary sword Mea Culpa and encounter new characters along your journey.
- New NPCs: Four new companions will join you, but their fate is in your hands.
- Alternate Ending: Unlock a new epilogue after conquering some of the toughest trials in Blasphemous II.
The free update “True Torment” will offer:
- Expanded Zones: Choir of Thorns, Sunken Cathedral, and Basilica of Ancient Faces have been reworked with new challenges.
- New Connecting Zones: Faster travel between already explored areas.
- New Challenge: The Labyrinth of Tides will test those brave enough to face it.
- New Game+: A fully adjustable difficulty mode, from tougher enemies to lethal traps.
- New Enemies and Abilities: The denizens of Cvstodia are ready to challenge you with new moves and strategies.
Both contents will be available on October 31st across all major platforms, including Steam, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, Epic, and GoG.
