Back to Vice City, baby.

GTA VI

Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive couldn’t wait any longer. After intense hours filled with incessant leaks about GTA VI, developers and publishers found themselves “forced” to unveil the release of the first trailer, which has already taken the web by storm with over 50 million views on YouTube.

The highly anticipated trailer, accompanied by the beautiful “Love Is A Long Road” by Tom Petty, reveals many intriguing details, including an initial release window, the setting, and a closer look at the likely protagonist, Lucia.

Infused with the usual humorous tones that are a trademark of Rockstar Games, the trailer showcases stunning aesthetics, breathtaking landscapes, and meticulous attention to detail. This gives us a glimpse into the care developers are dedicating to the technical aspect of this new installment, bringing the game remarkably close to the concept of photorealism.

From the cold confines of a penitentiary to the vibrant and lively city life, Rockstar Games gives us the opportunity to delve deeper into the festive “vida loca” of Vice City. Acting as both the backdrop and protagonist in GTA VI, this setting immerses us in its streets, dreamy beaches, and introduces us to some of its most exuberant and unique personalities. Yes, you heard it right. We’re heading back to Vice City.

And this time, we’ll return to Vice City in the shoes of Lucia, a young woman grappling with legal troubles, attempting to find her way—or at least, she’ll give it a shot once she’s released from prison.

On the other hand, Lucia appears to be anything but naive, more of a girl dealing with the numerous challenges life throws at you—misplaced trust, street life, crime, and matters of the heart. In short, everything that afflicts an ordinary person in the environs of Vice City.

In the trailer, we also catch a glimpse of someone very close to Lucia. A lover, a husband, a partner, or perhaps even the co-protagonist of GTA VI? It’s hard to say, but this person is undoubtedly significant, someone upon whom Lucia is trying to place her trust. Undoubtedly, we will gain a better understanding in the future.

Without revealing too many details, which we’ll delve into in a more detailed trailer analysis, we conclude with a couple of pieces of information that are sure to capture your interest: when will GTA VI be released, and on which platforms?

Rockstar Games has set the release date for GTA VI within the 2025 timeframe on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to the information disclosed and following the trend seen with GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, PC players will need to exercise some patience before getting their hands on GTA VI.
