The beginning of a great adventure!

Pipsqueak!

The Kickstarter campaign for Pipsqueak!, the captivating and challenging pixel art Metroidvania created by solo developer Daniel Freer, concludes with resounding success. It has been a period of exceptional growth for the young Australian developer, whose project made substantial strides and shattered new records step by step.

Here are the developer’s enthusiastic words: “A huge thank you to all 1,989 of you, Pipsqueak! is 153% funded! Truly this is a dream come true, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m so damn excited to work full-time on Pipsqueak!”.

Yes, you heard it right. The campaign started with 1,989 backers and eventually reached 2,013, thanks to the late pledges enabled by Daniel. Together, they contributed AU$93,038 (approximately $63,045 USD), surpassing the AU$60,000 (approximately $40,657 USD) funding goal. However, reaching the funding goal is not the only major achievement. As indicated on the campaign page, Daniel successfully reached three stretch goals, including unlocking the Dye Shop, introducing the Coral Cove biome into the game, and launching Professor Tinker’s Trials: special challenges that will allow players to start the game anew with new and demanding tests that will challenge their skills.
